Tiger put to bed for winter

Featured Replies

Tiger put awqay for the next couple of weeks after going off to Belgium and France to attend the Armistice ceremonies  in Compiene, France and visiiting Tyn Cot cemetery and Vimy Ridge in Belgium. Went with RBLR friends from Norrth Wales and Cheshire and did about 700 miles  or so. Plenty of rain but it didn't spoil the trip. My 2011 Tiger never missed a beat ands is such a sweet ride.1942383675_Compienecarriagesite.jpg.575ee505e2bce002471a344c16c97b36.jpg1942383675_Compienecarriagesite.jpg.575ee505e2bce002471a344c16c97b36.jpg20181110_144954.thumb.jpg.cefdd1a9abe8c0ab21118b40801f8bd2.jpg20181111_125004.thumb.jpg.59a5f1f05537d1f2e8eaeaeb15c4059d.jpg

@Ajay24 I’m glad it’s not just me that makes it looks awkward getting on a big Adventure bike  I too often forget to turn the bars away from the side stand to drop the height so you can get your leg over.

I called at Ypres last month month on my way to Germany.  I wish I’d gone there before but want to see more of it and will hopefully get a motorbike tour done soon.

I've got a Tiger 1050 as well. An earlier one bought new in 2008. Done some good tours on it at home and abroad but it's only got 13k. on it and is pretty much mint. I have some years where I hardly use the bikes (got a 2003 Thunderbird Sport and 1973 Tiger 750 amongst others) and as I've recently retired I'm going to use them more.

The Tiger is a great bike. I've tried some of Triumphs newer offerings but nothing I like as much.
