Skoda Heating up??

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I have a skoda octavia from 2014.

The indicator for the cooling liquid after is usally steady on the 90º, but 2 weeks ago it started to suddenly increase, once it almost reached the red line and issued a warning of temperature high.

Since then, one thing i noticed, is that sometimes, if im checking the auto-stop settings, it will prompt "functioning temperature not reached" and the indicator for the cooling liquid will start to raise, sometimes over 100º, but if i watch the oil temperature, max it went was 105º, which is a value that it reaches in highways usually or if im pushing a bit on the accelerator...

Anyone had this issue? Did not expect to have this in a car with 4 years...already saw some posts on the internet stating it can be a faulty sensor, or the water pump...

Btw, tested with the mechanic, and according to him, the water pump is ok and working, and also the thermostat is also working ok. He ordered  a new sensor for the cooling liquid, but was wondering if anyone here experienced this issue with this model?

Regards,

Nuno Henriques
