Full boot protection

Featured Replies

If anyone is thinking of getting a full boot protector, I thought I would just add a recommendation for Titan covers; I bought the Stayclean SC067 from ebay and fitted it today. It’s only available for the 7 seat as far as I can tell.

I’ve previously had hatchbags custom made at about £130-150 a time, but this was only £59.95 so I was a little unsure. Anyway, it is perfectly cut to the car and covers every part of the boot that is carpeted in a waterproof fabric including up the 2nd row, just like a hatchbag. Also comes with the bumper flap to protect the bumper when loading. Perfect for people with dogs or doing lots of tip runs!

sorry the photo isn’t great! 822341D0-BB8C-4FC2-8FBE-0BB302CBA7B4.thumb.jpeg.ca75716f72e5dd6f3635a6d71b51437a.jpeg

Looks great, how does it attach?

Is it easy to remove and reinsert or is it more designed to be left in place?

I looked at those awhile back. The attachments are made using Velcro. Where you have carpet and its a deep enough pile, the velcro will stick. Where you dont (plastic etc) you need to put adhesive velcro strips (cut to size) onto the trim (should point out that this was for a Superb Combi - Badgerface can tell us if there was much need for cutting strips on the Kodiaq).

It’s very easy to fit, no cutting required and no additional sticking of Velcro strips to plastic as with some of the older hatchbags.

It’s all Velcro onto existing carpet and the seat cover is by 3x tabs which go around the headrest mounts.

Whilst it’s easy enough to put in and out I would leave it in unless I need to use the 3rd row.

I really want one that has a fold point so it will stay in place and operational when the 3rd row of seats are put up.

I'm wondering whether the Titan Covers one would work, and just fold up in place when the 3rd row was being used.
