Whoosing noise when pressing clutch

Featured Replies

Hi all, new to the forum so apologies if this has been covered previously. My 2010 Octavia 2.0 ltr TDi has developed a strange whoosing noise when I press the clutch to change gear. The noise is only there when depressing clutch for changing gear (in motion). The noise is not present at any other time. There is no loss in performance - just the annoying sound when changing gear. Any advice much appreciated. Cheers

What happens when you freewheel in gear with the clutch pedal depressed and again in neutral both with pedal (un)depressed?

Do you get the noise when stationary with the engine off?

Hi havn't freewheeled in gear with clutch depressed, will try that later. Have freewheeled in neutral with clutch undepressed and no noise present.
