Need to change the radiator.

 

In order to remove the Fan assembly the manual says that I need to move the Lock Carrier which looks a nightmare to do.

 

Is this necessary??

Has anyone changed a Rad?

Iv done a rad on a mk5 golf gti and I did it without removing the front section but it was a right **** of a job if I done it again I would just remove the front b7mper put in lock position and it would be soo sooooo soooooo much easier
