Howdy

Featured Replies

Evening all, just a quick hello from a new Octavia VRS 245 owner.

Just paid the deposit on one at my local dealers. Sadly saying bye bye to my 2013 E63 AMG that has blown its engine (seized due to oil pump failure) so having a replacement fitted but trading it in and cutting my losses (A LOT) so getting something that is fun to drive, comfortable, newer and just generally extremely nice.

Looking forward to getting it, learning about what I can do to improve (remap, exhaust etc) and enjoying the car.

Welcome.

Your new car certainly won't be as manic as the last though. ;)

You are quite right, especially with 700bhp to play with.......but on the road, circa 330bhp will be plenty.

Need to understand what are the best remap or tuning box options are along with exhaust and filter etc. Only thing is that it is a little quiet for my liking.

Have a sift through here.

Been looking and its a minefield!!

From what I can see, Revo don't do a map for the 245 but AMD do, this will give around 300bhp. Also add filter to breath a little better and a cat back for a little more sound, but then going down pipe and sports cat route, stage 2 map will give around 330-350bhp? Also, Remus, Supersprint, Scorpion or Milltek......the decision ha!!

Also, TIP's, intake elbows, Turbo muffler delete.....which exhaust, which air filer!! As said, such a mine field. With the AMG's, cannot get exhaust unless you go IPE and spend round £4k, air filters do nothing and can only get panel filters, remap take them from 557bhp to around 700-720bhp..... :)
