Amundsen Plus (RNS315) V11 maps update

Featured Replies

The latest version of maps for the Amundsen + units (based on the RNS315) have been released recently. Having tested them, they display the same characteristics as the last version (V10) which causes system reboots randomly. V9 is still the only stable version I can find, so beware when buying.

Sake i just got my V10 today didn't realise there was a V11 now :D

Be interesting to see if yours exhibits random reboots after half an hour or so.

Will do, has anyone looked into it in depth to see what it might be?

Not that I'm aware of. But that's only a sign I haven't seen anything said. I've known someone bought a card from vw and it fritzed his machine. Vw changed the complete unit under warranty and the new one did the same. They downgraded it to v9 and the problem disappeared.

Yep it’s fubar’d. Sitting in the car letting it defrost and the system rebooted twice in 5 mins.

Went from V8 :D

drove to Edinburgh and it was fine all the way there although still doesn’t know about the new M8 section but on the way back it was turning off every 3 mins.

If you still have a V8 sd card then you can reinstall that, or you can tell the seller that his card doesn't work and you want a refund or a working copy (usually V9).

Sod’s law I can’t find it. I’ve ordered a V9 and started returns process for the V10

update for you @Rustynuts have left the unit turned off (so its just the time on it) and its still rebooting. who signed off on this?

Dayum, glad I found this topic!

Was just about to purchase a v11 card, don't have the original SD card and would've had to purchase another one!

Will go for a v9 one.

Does anyone know how to check what the current version is installed? Mine just says 038 or something under map nav info...

(Apologies for slight necro..! )

Software update won't fix the reboot issue.

Just to point out, the RNS-310 and RNS-315 take different SD cards. Your link is for a RNS-315 card so won't work in a RNS-310...
