Black plastic sill covers

Featured Replies

I want to take the OEM sill covers off to clean out mud, waxoil or similar behind the plastic, and repair careless hard wax damage to the metal sill edge by tyre monkeys.

Can they be removed by removing the obvious screws and pushing upwards, or is there a trick involved?

.
There are 9 screws holding it on but the manual says
""This part is not intended for re-installing. The part is damaged by removing it and a new part must be installed.""

Oh err. Thanks for that - not simply clever!

Is there any clue in the script as to why?

having done it, the mounting lugs tend to break off as I recall!
