think my octy's run in now.....

Featured Replies

My octy is just aproaching its 70k service... and over the past couple of weeks i started to notice the petrol consumption.... its gone down...

When i first had this car it would get 35mpg... maybe a bit more when driven like a old fart - but recently i noticed its got a lot lot better... over the weekend i drove up to my girlfriends 225 miles each way, and have now completed 2 days to work - another 100 + miles = total 550 miles ! is this normal... its a 2.0L ambient... i haven't put any petrol in yet !

My average mpg is showing 42 - 44 mpg going to and from work and was showing 46 mpg on the motorway.. and i try to sit around 90 on motorway and as fast as possible on other roads

I have heard that vw engines can take 60 - 80 k to run in ! is this true...

Lucky if i get 32mpg out of mine....you need to drive harder:P
