Album art

Featured Replies

Hi. I've got Columbus and when I play music via my phone using Bluetooth the album art is showing, but some albums have Skodas own art like a girl singing and do in but on my phone it has the correct art. Why doesn't some show on the Columbus screen then.

Thanks for help

It could be because of several reasons, the most likely suspects are...

  • The artwork is too large for Columbus. Ensure embedded cover images are below 1000x1000 pixels, ideally 600x600 or 500x500.
  • The artwork is not tagged or is incorrectly tagged in the metadata. Ensure artwork is properly tagged. Some software doesn't tag artwork correctly (for example iTunes keeps purchased or ripped-in-iTunes images separated from the file). Try using a dedicated metadata editor to ensure the files are correctly tagged.

Columbus has a limited database of known albums. If it can't use or detect embedded artwork it uses this database. If the specific album isn't in the database it will try to display a generic genre image - like the girl singing.

  • 2 weeks later...

From my own testing I found out that 800x800 is the max resolution supported.
