Had a look at the battery yesterday, after clearing 2 faults P011F and 09606 again, when looking at the battery indicator it was showing red , so went to get it checked out and found its fully charged , just wondering if the battery could be causing the engine idle to increase from 800 to 1000 for no reason, found that P011F looks like it could be the engine coolant temp sensor, still trying to find out what 09606 is though??

The car will increase the idle RPM in an effort to generate more heat quicker, to satisfy the demands of the Climatronic.

 

If your thermostat is faulty then is likely the reason for the high idle.

 

Find, fix and clear the fault codes first would be my advice.
