Hello guys. I'm looking to purchase an android radio for my Skoda Octavia Combi, year 2008.

 

I'm not looking to invest heavily, so I'm looking at Chinese radios. Also looking at Chinese radios because their market has improved a lot lately and i believe a radio worth 150€ - 200€ might work just as fine as 500€+ radio.

 

But i'm having a lot of problems finding a suitable radio on amazon.de(uk), aliexpress or ebay.de(uk), since a lot of models seems not to fit my car (2009 and forward).

 

Since I'm not car enthusiast, what are some of the things i should look out before purchasing, so it would definitely fit?

 

I've looked through many radios so far, contacted the sellers, but they told me it won't fit. The only radio that might seem to work so far is this one - link . I've input my car data and i get this info in return

I would like to double check with you guys here, who probably have a lot more experience than me. Honestly, i don't just want to waste 200€, because it's hard to resell stuff like that.

@fokz8 I have one v similar to this gathering dust. Model no of mine is vw5015v. I think it is just an older version of Android (7) but the hardware is pretty much the same.

Bought it Oct '17 but soon found it was the wrong unit and made for older cars (eg. mk11). All the parts are there and should be a straight swap. Make me an offer? I paid 240 for it at the time but am resigned to making a loss. Rather see it go to a good home tbh.

Sadly I'm not interested in buying used unit, especially not from some1 1000km away. If i buy used stuff, i need to test it first, and with you being located in UK it's just not possible.
