Variable Servicing for TDI

Last May took the car to Horners in Bury for a full service and took in my own Castrol Oil SLX to keep up with variable servicing.

Over the weekend, the service indicator has come on stating that I need a service in 1000 miles, although the car has only done 9000 miles since the last service????

I thought this was quite strange, so contacted the dealer who suggested I book the car in to have it checked out?

Reading previous forums, does anyone in the Manchester area have the VAG com, so that they can check whether it has been set up for variable servicing OR has the dealer made a **** up and input for annual servicing.

I want to know this, rather than the dealer tell me it's another fault, when it isn't.

So any help would be appreciated.
