Do you mean that if i charge an electric car from my home electricity without having some special charger there is no VAT on it?

VAT on lecky is only 5% from memory.

there will need to be customs decs for the power from France too!

I was also traumatised with holidays. Driving up or down Porlock Hill and the approach to Lynton/Lynmouth in a 1954 Ford Popular made me travel sick. We were overtaken by  Austin Cambridges, Cortinas and Jowett Javerlins while my father's knuckles were white in trying to keep the Pop in a straight line.
