Hello all after a full frustraiting day of messing with my octavia trying to fix the mad central locking doing whatever it pleased locking whilst driving unlocking when parked up clicking randomly etc I have narrowed it down to the central convenience module (1C0 959 799 B ) I have removed said module and now the car locks fine on the key and seems to be keeping quiet, now my question is if I buy a random one of these modules off ebay (same part number of course) will my original remotes work or will I have to get new ones programmed ?? I have VCDS that i got given off a friend of mine but no idea how to program keys ive only ever used codes and live data on my various VAG projects.

As far as I’m aware it’s just plug and play (as long as part number is identical). Have you also checked the bottom of the drivers window motor as they have a habit of corroding due to water ingress.

Hello Skoda driver yes I have had the door card off and the plug is spotless no water ingress at all and no green contacts
