Have you never made a mistake whilst driving your car?

I wasn’t being rude.

Just an observation of one who admitted to almost running into the back of someone due to - for some reason - not keeping observation up front and taking appropriate action, thus relying on the unreliable Skoda system to hit the brakes.

Note - the thread kicked off discussing the unexpected operation, hence unreliable front assist system.

No worries, I took it as humour.

For the record, travelling in crowded 3 lane traffic moving at ~100km/h with a big van obscuring the view of traffic further forward, anything is possible, and for once the 'little red devil' was welcome.

Maybe Skoda could add an optional extra: a periscope to see over and ahead of large vehicles?

A hired auto Seat in Lanzarote used to show the warning at the same point on the same ordinary empty road every time I went down it - and on one occasion slammed on the brakes. I could see no possible reason for it!
