Having been driving a Mk1 Fabia for the last 7 years I thought it about time I joined up!

Yes I guess the car has been reliable. Quite a few jobs over the years. Front springs, suspension bits, wheel bearing. Rear drums.
But nothing to make me have to sit down in terms of garage bills.

 

Nothing ever fell off and left me at the roadside. Just wear out with the expected warnings.

 

What I like about an elderly tatty car is not having to worry about trolley rash in supermarket car parks.

 

Got it at 75000 miles. Now over 140000 miles. 50mpg in winter to 55mpg in summer.
How could I even think about replacement?
