Lost one point for creaking door seals.

Lost another point for the wandering steering while on the motoway.

Out of interest its a sport that I have, only ive got the diesel version. Nice car overall IMO im sure you will like it, I havnt tried the petrol version so be interesting to hear what you think of it.

It was great to read how well Skoda did in the Top Gear survey (again!!) but you lot knew that anyway.

Lost a point for no Sunroof as standard and the option is stupidly expensive for what it is compared to others in VW Group.

Brilliant Needs a little more power, but that will be sorted with a remap. 9/10.

9 out of 10 - rear leg room not brilliant (resolved on latest model!) I don't think I'd ever give anything full marks!

8 / 10 Let down by the climatronic which is not as stable as that on the Mk 1 and creaks when cold.

MkI Octy vRS - 7/10 when standard. Not enough power understeers too readily and the dampers are too soft. I am being harsh on the car here, for 99% of drivers it would be more than adequate. (It beats my previous car hand down anyway )

Should easily be 8.5/10 when the performance 'issues' are sorted.

Note that on my scale, 9/10 would be almost perfect with 10/10 being reserved for .... (I'll think of something later)

Lost one mark for stupid Light Assist - it SHOULD work!

Lost one mark for the auto additional wipe after you have was/wiped windscreen. Final wipe is timed to smear the screen, not clean it!

Present car Octavia 10/10 for the reasons practicality, just what I need with present family circumstances.

Previous car Fabia VRS 10/10 for sheer fun and being able to glide past big name cars on the motorway!

Octy 2 1.9 tdi, looses 3 marks from me.innacurate fuel gauge and fuel computer.

but the road /tyre noise is the worst feature for me.only 7/10
