Quick question. It was obvious in my last VRS that the dynamic cornering was active, (dancing light test on startup). My new VRS with LED's only appears to do selfeveling test on start up, is this correct or do I have a problem?

It’s correct. The LEDs don’t swivel.

But you can enable the cornering fogs via VCDS/OBDEleven type tools.

To avoid any confusion, the LED headlights have cornering lamps already in the headlight, which turn on and off when cornering, rather than the dipped beams swivelling in the older Xenon units. 

 

Cornering fogs would be additional to the dynamic cornering lights.

If this is the case, I have not noticed this in my VRS or they are switched off or broken.....

 

i have the cornering ring light on my Merc and you could tell when the switched on.

They'll be lit up most of the time at low speeds and they behave differently in different drive modes. They're quite short range. 

 

If you look in the outer headlight you can see the additional led in the side of the light. 

 

This video shows it turning on and off.

I allow myself to answer on this topic because I have a problem with the dynamic lights (the additional led in the headlight) on my Octavia MK3 facelift VRS.

 

I have the menu in the drive mode menu but they don't work ... whatever the mode (eco, normal, sport).

The reflector with the led is present in the headlight.

 

Can i check via vcds if it is activated?
