Ive recently encountered my glow plug light on my dash on my Skoda Octavia 2012 and my odb scanner is coming up with the egr valve code... Ive had it all cleaned right down to the throttle body sensor but still getting the glow plug light on.... the car idles as it should but as soon as I pull off the light comes back on I can knock the light off and it stays off and the car runs fine until  I turn the engine off.... my mechanic has noticed that two of my glow plugs looks defective could this be the case or am I just throwing more money away... advice please

Presumably it should be under Octavia II section and what engine do you have?

Its a 2 liter engine
