Other functions of the Trip Reset button?

Featured Replies

Hello!

i have been suspicious about the workability  of the Trip Reset button except the reset of the trip?

Does it have other functionality for example if long-pressing  (which does not reset the trip mileage - but not found out what further does)  or pressing before turning on ignition  (which does nothing at this stage)?

The MK3's show somwehow the battery charge level  indicator or state of charge  (SOC).

Should assume it does not support any further functions on ours?

It should also change the time on the cluster, just rotate it to select the hours/minutes and click to add one.

Just twist it to display how many days/miles to next service. Not sure if it works for variable/long life servicing, but definitely for fixed/annual.

When looking at time/mileage to next service display, be careful not to press the button as this will reset it to zero and fixed service.

I think some of these functions might be specific to maxidot or none maxidot clusters.

Rotating it on my maxidot only changes the time, to find the service information, you need to navigate through the menus using the MFSW.

As 'kinda' said above it also resets service due warning buzzer indicator.

All these are done via the maxidot menus display and using the mfsw .

So then I suppose nothing else at all.

That's not what you enquired about, you asked what other functions can the Trip Reset button do, besides reseting the trip. You made no mention of whether it performed any other function over what can be done via Maxidot or MFSW, neither of which I have, and therefore I would not have responded to your thread.
