This is a small module which connects to the CAN gateway and converts the older DDP signal to BAP and allows newer premium bluetooth modules to be connected and paired in older cars e.g. pre FL Mk2 Octavias. (https://www.autopolar.net/product/polar-bt-bluetooth/). 

 

I have had one of these fitted this in my own pre-FL Octavia which has worked perfectly for four years with a premium bluetooth module.

 

This is available for £50 including the cable to connect it to the gateway and a long cable to support firmware updates.
