WMA & MP3 format files

Featured Replies

Could someone please confirm or otherwise that the unit in the Toledo Xcellence should play both WMA & MP3 format music files.

It's in the manual... which is 2000 miles away on my PC unfortunately.

I just stuck a massive SD card full in, some play some don't.

Thank you. I checked the Manual but can find little about it. I found a free tool on the Web and have converted my WMA format files to MP3 and all now play. The M4A (Itunes) format also plays and it seems that it only objects to WMA.  I used the same SDA card  in my previous Toled bought in Sept 2015 and had no truoble with any format if I remember correctly. I also note that the radio in my new Toledo only has DAB & FM bands and that the AM option has disappeared.

I remember I also downloaded the current (2017/18 at the time) Skoda Rapid manual as it seemed to give more detail on the infotainment than the SEAT one.

Great advice as there is much more info in the Rapid Manual which has solved the mystery. The unit does support WMA format but not at the high bit rate my files are saved at.
