Does normal halogen headlight fit in place of original xenon?

Featured Replies

So originally my octi rs has xenon headlights, but the right side broke. Can i use halogen headlight,(marked h1+h7), and use the bulbs+ ballast from the broken xenon one?

So basically i just need an empty headlight shell, is there a diff between the two? Or just the bulbs?

No, the projector is different between halogen and xenon versions so you'll need a xenon version I'm afraid.

Is it a pre-FL or FL MK2?

i was afraid too... its FL, 2011. cant find any used here around, and new costs 400€

FL halogen and xenon headlights are very different. Halogens can only move up/down whereas the xenon versions get an extra motor and control module for the AFS 'bending' lights.

Not entirely sure which side you want but there are a few on eBay which a LHD beam pattern at less than €400.

LHD driver side:

LHD passenger side:

Passenger side seems much rarer unfortunately :/

thank you for your effort. its passenger side(EU)

Autoteile.de will be your best bet, they do sell on Ebay UK but often, not always, its a lot cheaper on their website.

Mmm, perhaps not, be sure to check whether they are LH or RH dipping, I have bought from them twice but it was for LHD beam pattern.

OTOH I think maybe the HID projector lamps have a flat beam pattern and will be good for either.

double check!
