I have a 4x4 2001, what info do you need?

About the gearbox.engine and suspension..mate... how far is it from vrs

Engine - 30bhp less. But maybe the same K03s turbo?

Gearbox - Both 5 speed. Probably similar ratios. The VRS ratios are quite long.

Suspension - VRS ride height is lower and suspension a bit more 'sporty', but still pretty soft in my experience.

What do you mean by how far?  The 4x4 suspension is a bit softer and higher ride than the VRS, BUT it is independent suspension... so with uprated shocks and springs will offer better handling than the VRS.

Gearbox i believe both have the same final ratio but the 1st to 4th gears vary.  The 4x4 has the K03 turbo, slightly inferior to the VRS K03s turbo, flows less and makes lower boost due to the number of fins on the impeller, 12 on the K03 i believe and 8 on the K03S.  

Engine internals i believe are the same, the 4x4 just makes less power because of the turbo design and different map on the ECU.  

Amazing thanks guys... coz I'm thinking to buy vrs or 4x4 Octavia.. 

I will be doing work on it.. turbo and remap kind of converting it in race car so I wanted to know..what would be better choice..

The majority of uk 4x4's were produced after 2001 and actually have the ko3s turbo, but are only tuned to 150bhp not 180bhp like the vrs. The gear ratios are lower and the 4x4 is certainly worse on fuel, would deffo have benefited with a 6th gear! . Stick winter tyres on and are amazing in snow! A remap and 200bhp is easily available... here is mine.
