Hi, I’ve recently added the overhead sunglasses holder & mudflaps to our yeti-cheap & easy to do.

Although the car was still plastered in mud after it’s last outing :blush

What's the technique for getting the blanking piece out and fitting the holder?  Do you have any pics of that?  I'm interested, but don't want to break anything I'll need later through doing it the wrong way.

not sure aint done it yet ask smartbear he sent me pics

Hi, to be honest i didn’t have a clue how to remove the blanking piece but using a couple of plastic pry tools to avoid marking the trim i prodded & poked a bit and it came away fairly easily with no damage.

It was a similar story fitting the holder in its place, i think the secret is not to use huge amounts of force but look at where the clips are and work around those areas.

I’m no expert but did the job in ten minutes.

Thanks for that, sounds fairly painless.  I think I'll order one and have a go at it myself.

I really wouldn’t use a screwdriver to remove any trim, that almost guaranteed to leave marks & scratches.

Don’t forget they used to(or maybe still do) make a stretched Yeti in China, so this could well be a Skoda genuine part.
