Front grill replacement

Featured Replies

Hi anyone whom has changed/replaced their front grill, how easy was it & can you get the grill surround off in one piece?

Only way of getting the grill surround off in one piece is a bumper off job I believe

replaced my grill surround but it ended up in about 20 pieces

It's not a bad job to do at all replaced my grill in 3 hours the bumper is not to bad to get off and then the grill is clip to the bumper on the face lift MK3

Quick question, is it possible to swap the chrome grille surround for a black one without taking the bumper off?

Yes it's possible, I've done it. The chrome grill did not come off in one piece though. Once all the chrome grille surround has been removed, the black one clips in easily.

Thanks, not fussed about saving the chrome one, just didn't want to damage any of the rest of the plastic grille

This will be my first modification once I pick up the VRS

i posted a tutorial on how to do this...... :google:

FL PFL are the same. The surround comes off really easy with the bumper off.
