Skoda Yeti pre facelift grille bonnet trim replacement

Featured Replies

Hi, have any of you fellow Yeti owners have experience in replacing the front grille bonnet trim?

I would like to paint the bonnet trim in the color of the car instead of the chrome style.

So, do you know if there's any paintable plastic replacement for this part? I've seen a badgeless on superskoda.com but I would like to keep the badge on mine.

I could of course just paint over the original part but I think I would like to keep it and I guess a plastic replacement would be cheaper than buying a second OEM part in chrome and paint that.

Best regards

David

You can easily replace this with the Monte Carlo trim which is Black? Used to be Sold by superskoda? I presume that could be painted so you can keep the original to refit when you sell the car and thus return its value back to what it should be.

I am sure there was a thread on here showing this item being changed

What about plastic wrap?

@kenfowler3966 Yes that would work. But the Monte Carlo edition is more expensive then the original in chrome, and since I was planing on painting it, it's kind of waste of money. Maybe the best option would be to find a used original piece in good condition.

@Urrell I would like the pice to be in the same color as the car so the plastic wrap would not be an option unfortunately.
