Tried and Tried with Citygate Skoda...  One word of dissent and they ban one...

Anyone know a decent non main dealer VW skoda Mechanic /garage who does a decent job, doesn't charge the earth and is reliable

who can service my car regularly and get it MOT'd once a year or thereabouts...?

Nowhere near London but If you ever fancy getting your car mapped, at the same time then worth going to ADE TUNING in Lancashire, apart from the Cave SKODA oil fixes they have done every job on my car. Also £40 per hour Labour not £100 per hour.

If you don't mind a short jaunt across town, Westside Motors, based in Woodford are fair, trusted and not as pricey as main dealers.

Their details are as follows...

391 High Rd, Woodford, Woodford Green IG8 0XG.  Phone 020 8505 5215

They are quite near the A406 and a decent walk from a local train station.

There is also another independent over at Wanstead, called Stevens motors, 3A Wellington Rd, London E11 2AN.  Phone 020 8989 9809.

They are a little off the A12, still accessible from the North Circ, and profess to use genuine parts. Very nice people, too.
Again, a decent walk from  local stations. (Wanstead or Snaresbrook, central line).

I would be more then happy to use either.

Thanks Man... bit off the beaten track for me... closer to NW2 would be great...

Think of the run home, though!  Thats the best part of a freshly serviced/repaired car!
