Octavia Scout wheel arch trims.

Featured Replies

I had probably never seen a Scout or if I did had not taken much notice of it, saw one in a supermarket car park the other day and remarked on the plastic wheel arch scuff trims.

Not really to my taste but a pair of rear ones might just get me out of a hole.

I scraped and dented the rear of the door sill and lower part of the wheelarch on my MK2 non facelift Octavia Estate, the damage is limited to the area which has the stick on clear stone chip protection plastic, it will need filling and painting and being a metallic will mean the wing, sill and ideally also the door although that would touch up.

The thought came to me that if the wheel arch protector trim covered the damaged part of the sill then I could cut the thing down and just use the lower part saving me a body repair, I would have black rather than clear stone chip protection.

Can anyone link to a photograph of this area, does not matter which side.

Many thanks.

Found this on Ebay, not sure if its for an estate, mine is a 2006, it does look like it would hide the damage.

Despite being graunched by a concrete block, dented and the pait scraped off the galvanised coating has not been breached and there is no rusting so a cover up job would be a good un.

Is the above suitable for a 2006 Estate?

Actually its hard to see but it might be a steel extended wheel arch panel to be welded in for wider wheels.
