Hi, Im new here.

I have recently brought a neglected 2002 octavia 4x4turbo.

The instrument cluster didn't work so i decided to buy a used VRS cluster. Fits in perfectly works fine but immobilizer kicks in after few seconds. Shuts the engine down and the light comes up on the dash. Any advice?

Yes... the cluster doesnt match the car's engine or ecu...

I'm aware of that. I wondering if there is any way that I could program the used Cluster to the ECU?

You will need someone with Vag Tacho or Vag Commander as well as vcds to retrieve the pin from the old clocks to program into the new clocks. Had this done on mine when I upgraded to L&K clocks from Elegance.

I have Vag Tacho but i have no idea how to use it

It’s not the sort of thing you want to mess with if you do t know what to do with it. I think there’s a section on this site to find the locations of members with vcds etc.
