Component upgrades

Featured Replies

Anyone able to suggest some component upgrades that won’t cost the earth but that would be worth considering after year one with the car? Also, will a dealer fit these for you during a service or do they only offer their own stock parts?

I’m thinking:

tyres

brake pads + discs

oil filter

anything else? Any suggestions welcome!

Tyres: go to a tyre fitter not a dealer (who will inevitably use a tyre fitter anyway and add their markup)

I was going to fir Michelin PS4 but two irreparable punctures 1 month apart will mean I have 2 as new Pirelli fitted

Brake pads and discs: I have gone for Brembo (yet to be fitted) to hopefully get away from the awful wear mainly on the rear

Oil filter: Stick to genuine OE

Your dealer may fit supplied parts but many will not, in that case use a good independent garage (but check they will fit customer supplied parts before ordering them)
