Burning smell and problem with changing gears.

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've used the search function but couldn't find a definitive answer to my problem. I have a 2009 Skoda Superb 2.0 Diesel.

I've noticed a strong burning smell after driving for a while, coming mostly from the front, passenger side wheel area. In addition, it became almost impossible to change into 1st, 2nd and reverse gears. It's almost symptoms free when cold but after driving for a while the problem becomes very apparent.

My gut is telling me it's an issue with the clutch, just wanted some confirmation as I'm not good at those things.

I'm reluctant to even drive the car to a garage, so will probably have it collected.

Could anyone recommend a trusted garage in Bury St Edmunds area?

Cheers

Sounds like the clutch.
