Yeti spare wheel kit with false floor

Featured Replies

does anyone know the difference some are advertised as for yeti 2WD id the 4x4 one different ?

AFAIK it's the same.  Mine was transferred from my original 4x4 to the 1.2 at PX, and there are no bulges or gaps!

cheers , thought it would be odd to have a non transferable item

The 2wd has an extra moulding for storing the jack and tools under the wheel.

Like Brijo mine came from my previous 4x4 Yeti.

Our 2017 L&K 4WD also came with the moulding for the the jack etc under the wheel, so I dont think its a 2WD only inclusion. The side moulding also has positions for a detachable towbar, although none is fitted.

Presumably there was a third version of kit for those that have adblue or do they use the 2wd kit (jack etc under spare wheel?)

I don't know about a 2wd version, but the floor and foam compartments were the same between our 2012 and 2016 models.

The later one has gone now, but I took the 2012 one out, so I can drop the boot floor lower.  It makes the difference between getting all the stuff for a family trip away in, and not getting it in.

I'm not overly happy about having no spare wheel in there though....

thanks for the input guys , so conclusion is 2wd or 4x4 spare kit the same , am defiantly getting one as don't trust the gooo bottle after our experience and will be driving round Scotland all summer so need a spare  .

I was told (by my local main dealer) the only difference between the two wheel drive and four wheel drive spare wheel kit was the load rating of the Jack.

I doubt, since the part numbers on the jack are the same.

I didn't question it at the time, but simply insisted they transferred over the spare wheel kit I had previously purchased (for a 2WD TDi) to my new 4x4. The duly obliged by ordering a new Jack, at no cost to myself:thinking:
