Canton probs

Featured Replies

Since delivery, noticed no bass response from centre or boot speakers. Garage investigation is blaming corruption by our SD cards, remove them and speakers wake up! Their suggestion is to use new SD's or to use tje alternative thumb drive input on centre console, has anyone come across this?  Any suggestions?

Have you tried formatting your SD cards?

Interesting how the SD card related to Sub ?

Hi, I didn't helieve it either, mechanic disconnected our 2 cards and ran it purely on radio and yes, the subs started operating, as they do when using a thumb drive, unbelievable! Luckily you can get stubby drives so centre console sliding lid will shut.  Basically Canton system not worth anything like the £550 premium!

Thanks

Probably an obvious question, but have you checked whether it has different sound settings when playing the sd-card vs the USB?

Hi, not specifically, our Skoda garage went thro all the on screen settings looking for an answer, they initially assumed speaker miswiring as fault, but the SD card answer fooled everyone. We are resigned to using USB as buying hi-spec cards did not solve the problem, but even with the subs working jow, sound not brilliant and certainly not worth the premium in our view.

Time to ask them for a refund.. or partial refund...
