change of steering wheel

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Im after help / info i have a 2010 skoda octavia estate and i want to replace my current steering wheel with one that has media controls on it  volume +/- etc

Is this a straight swap or does it need another module and is this worth the trouble

Thanks for any help

You'll probably need a new steering module as it's unlikely you're existing one will support a MFSW. A VCDS autoscan will confirm.

The right hand buttons only work with a maxidot cluster so if you have a standard cluster, be prepared that they won't do anything.

Only you know if it's worth the trouble. I use my MFSW every journey so it's certainly something I'd add if it wasn't fitted :-)

Thank you langers for your quick reply

I found a MFSW on ebay a mk2 and mk3 not sure if the mk3 would have fitted ?? and was hoping it was gonna be a simple plug and play but did had a feeling it would not be that easy :-(

I had a MFSW in my works van and found it very handy and easy to use
