Jamie is missing that people are buying them, then coming to BRISKODA to see why theirs might have issues.

Jamies's research and knowledge is lacking, simple as that.

Engine discontinued in 2014, what is he on about Skoda sticking with it?

Skoda, VW, Audi & SEAT stopped using the same year. CTHE was introduced 2012 & 2013 in SEAT and brought new issues / faults.

@FromTheDarkness

I had to laugh at the Advisory given at the MOT and Retest last September on the car Jamie is driving in the video.

The girl that owns it only recent bought it.

But it was still given an advisory on low oil level. Only surprise is it was not a fail for non operational sidelights as many examiners do.

Wow Engine oil low 2x years on the trot... this would most defiantly be a used car to avoid!

Presumably that means the low level warning light was on, rather than the dipstick level being checked? In which case it might be very low.

@FromTheDarkness

The car in the video is as late as they were building them so that would be what people might expect are the best to buy.

& not oil low 2 years in a row, just at last years MOT and still when retested once another tyre on.

0 miles between test fail and retest pass.

CTHE are not that bad for oil use so Jamie is correct, but then early CTHE still have been getting new engines and before that Oil Spray Jet upgrades.

Wino, Oil is fine at moment. FromTheDarkness, it  wasn't low 2 years in row.

It was low Sept 2018. then renewed, then retested. ;)

@SarahCool38

Welcome to the forum.

The car looks great in that colour.

?

Has your car had Service Campaign '34H5' carried out on the DSG.

That is a software update for some DQ200 2013-2015 and late builds mostly require it.

Hi, @Skoffski , Thank you, i like the colour too.

I'll look inside my car to see if those have been done.

I've yet to read all info and put up introduction.  I will do this soon.

Thanks

I've just checked by my spare wheel and indeed, there is a sticker to say that's been done in  July 2017.  thanks for making me aware.
