Spare wheel tool kit

Featured Replies

Can someone tell me what I should expect to find in the boot? I have just bought an Octavia VRS estate and there is no jack or wheel race. Is this correct?

Should be present along with either a space saver or that awful puncture repair kit.  Go back to the seller pronto.

Do you not get a jack etc only if you spec spare wheel?  My first Yeti only had the gunk and compressor.

The jack and tools came with the spare wheel kit I ordered.

Gunk and a compressor. No tools.

I bought a spare wheel and tools before I took delivery of my Octavia.

Sorry about the misinformation.  When I ordered my Octavia I included the space saver on as a matter of course.  Those get you home repair kits, gunk and compressor, are about as much use as a chocolate tea pot but I suppose they may get you home.  I'd hate to try and inflate a total flat without lifting it off the ground.  The reason I thought a jack should be standard was when I ordered my GT86 a few years ago, it came with the repair kit and a jack so I thought Skoda would as well.  How wrong?

Anyway, in the Toyota handbook it advises using the jack to lift the wheel prior to attempting the repair.  I pretty soon went out and bought a space saver.
