Activate Auxiliary Heater

Featured Replies

Hi,

Complete newbie - Just bought a 68 Plate Superb SEL Exec with 1500 miles on the clock - Loving it !

Just trying to get to grips with the Infotainment stuff and the Manual....

Can someone advise if this Model has the Auxiliary Heater fitted please - as standard, ( I am sure I read it in the spec), and if so, how do I activate it.

Many thanks in advance

I'm not aware that UK cars now get the auxiliary heating option . It would normally only be available as an (expensive) option in colder weather climates.

Look at the heating controls in the car; between the left and centre dial do you have 'REST' button? If so, that is *usually* what is available on UK cars.  The REST function allows you to use the residual heat from the heating system/engine to continue to heat the cabin for up to ~30 mins with the engine off.   After ~30 mins it will stop to preserve the battery charge.

Auxiliary heating gives u the option to remotely heat up the car before you actually get into the car.  scenario is your car is parked outside, its  -10 degrees.  15 mins before u leave for work, u remotely switch on the auxiliary heater, which warms the car interior up.  15 mins later, u hop in the car and its nice n warm :)

u can read more about it, from Skoda, here.

u use an app to remotely turn it on.  video here .

it has its own Webasto heater, that requires additional heating components, hence its not something u can simply activate.

if u have it, it will show up on your infotainment screen and in ur skoda conenct app.
