Gap insurance

Can anybody recommend a Combined return to invoice Gap insurance. My main dealer is offering 3 years at £299.

£16500 car.

Regards

www.ala.co.uk

As main dealer pricing goes, that isn't too bad.

As above, I purchased mine - 4yr, back to invoice GAP, form ala.co.uk.

Cannot comment on their service as I've not had to use it. Quite often 10% or even 25% (which I found last year) vouchers floating around for them.

Have a look here.

£134 for 35K with Motor Gap Ltd

They offer discount to forum members (IIRC they may be a site sponsor?).  I've dealt with them on two occasions and they've been excellent.

Don't buy it from the dealer, £299 may be cheap for a dealer but it's still very expensive.

You might want to look at a "top-up" insurance instead of return to invoice. The problem with the latter is that it does what it says on the tin - gets you back to your invoice value. However, if you were fortunate to get a very good deal on the car you may not be able to find another one at the same price level.

I have an extra cover which will pay up to 25% on top of the insurance valuation or k£10, whichever is less. I took it out on my first renewal when the new replacement provision dropped as the car was a year old. It cost £42.

3yr Invoice GAP insurance at £299 is far too expensive.

Headline figures... £16,500 vehicle, 3yr Invoice GAP insurance = £139.06 from us after your forum-member discount (use code "BRISKODA10")

I’d second gapinsurance.co.uk

My quote for a £32k list price car over 2 years was £83.50

ALA were still better than a dealer price but quite a bit more - £125.
