Black chrome cleaner/protect ?

Featured Replies

Guys, I have just taken delivery of my new car, and it has black chrome mirrors and grill surrounds.

This is a pain to get looking good, and a nightmare for water spots after it rains., or gets washed.

I discovered by accident that applying bilt hamber doublespeed makes it go tortoise shell effect, and so cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and it came up good, but not perfect.

The isopropyl on its own does nothing.

What I want is something that can clean it to look perfect, then something I can use to protect it once its right.

Does anyone have any experience with any products that work well ?

Have you tried a spray wax or quick detailer along with a good microfibre cloth?

Hi yes the QD doesn't clean all the marks off.

But I just  received the cure (thanks  Amazon prime!)

Mothers California Gold Chrome Polish, and to seal it in I applied Adams H20 Gloss and Guard over the top, now it is spotless  :)
