I am going to buy a columbus stereo later, i have a fabia3 mk2 2008 pre fl, im getting a lot (from what info i can find) of mixed instructions on this topic. Some say will work with the mfd some say it wont. I know it will need coding and it comes with gps. Has anyone done this on this shape and age fabia so i know that its going to work. Thanks

I think you're going to hit problems in a car that age due to the CANbus system incompatibility.

But can u not buy an adaptor from what i have read. Also some people have said they connected with no issues at all. Some posts are different from what i can find

So for anyone that ends up looking at swapping for a columbus in a pre fl fabia then dont waste ur time, the above poster was correct, hit many issues.... parking sensor screen does not appear, does not switch on or off with ignition, does not show on maxi dot (although i have read you can buy a can bus adapter for this) im hoping the guy i brought it from takes it back. Annoyed as worked very well and looked nice! Maybe time for another new car lol
