Estate car wanted! Convince me! Anyone from the NW?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Been on the facebook a little bit but still undecided in what car to replace the mk1 TT as a daily. I have about £5000 to play with!

I started my search on the Suzuki swift sports and then saw the Guiletta Veloce and somehow managed to find my self looking at the Octavia VRS estates and Superb Estates from around 2010-2012

It'll mainly be used to go to work but the odd long haul trip to somewhere would be required, which ruled out the Suzuki. Abit bigger still was the Guiletta but its hard to find a decent one for £5000 and then high mileage Diesel Octavia VRS popped up on the searches! But finding out the superb 170 is pretty much the same car they peaked my interest.

I haven't even seen a superb in the flesh, but like the idea of the huge leg room and huge boot for camping and adventure for car part trips! As well as the solid CR170 motor with the potential to have a little remap for a sort of superb VRS sounds tempting!

£5000 seem to pull the high mileage cars, which doesn't worry me, as service history and major work would have been carried out! Are there any major things to look out for?

Or Can anyone show me around one in the NW? really tempted but you guys will know alot more about them and id like to meet a owner beforehand!

Thanks Guys
