Some careless person(!!!) has scratched the middle of my rear door on my one week old Octavia vRS. How annoying is that? (Slight understatement!).

Does anyone know of, or have experience of, any paintwork repair specialist. I don't want to have the whole panel resprayed.

The colur is silver, the damage is very localised and just to the surface of the paint itself and not through to the primer or metal.

Can anybody help?

If you value the look of your paintwork and the resale value of your car, don't try to do it yourself. Get someone like Chipsaway to do it. It'll be expensive, but worthwhile in the long run.

Exactly the same thing happened to me within 2 weeks of getting my octy vRS (also silver) although from your description, your damage doesnt seem quite as bad as mine was.

I got ChipsAway to sort mine, and they did a first class job. Give them a ring, they'll give you a free estimate and will also be honest if its really a bodyshop job.
