Hi, I am having a bit of a meltdown regarding wheels and tyres for the rapid.

Currently fitted are 205/45/16 on what looks like fabia 3 alloys.

 

So my question is 

A) what size should be on the car?

what size should the spare be?

 

Now if I leave the current wheels on for now,what size spare can I have ?

Spelling

If you're on 16" wheels then the tyres should be 215/45/R16. There are other options:

 

1.6TDi 114hp	185/60R15	6Jx15 ET38	5x100	M14 x 1.5	57.1
	215/45R16	7Jx16 ET46	5x100	M14 x 1.5	57.1
	195/55R15	6Jx15 ET38	5x100	M14 x 1.5	57.1
	215/40R17	7Jx17 ET46	5x100	M14 x 1.5	57.1

 

 

Fabia wheels will fit the Spaceback but they too use 215/45/R16 tyres

 

The spare on my current car and also my previous Rapid hatch were both 185/60/R15.

You'll find a much wider selection of tyres and at a cheaper price for the 185/60R15 size ... you know they will fit because the factory supplied spare is this size ... this includes tyres like the CrossClimate which are not manufactured in the 16" or 17" sizes shown in the chart above.
