Tyre Pressures

Featured Replies

New to Karoq Scout 2.0 4x4. The tyre pressure label offers two pressures 2.4 or 2.7ECO for the same passenger load. The higher the pressure the smaller the patch in contact with the road. Any experience please?

Welcome.

Yes to be ECO means less traction / friction so grip getting moving or braking, cornering and going straight.

You bought a AWD car for more grip so why go for 1 mpg more or so making a car less safe with less grip in dry or wet by inflating tyres higher than the right pressures.

Go with what is most comfortable for the weight carried in the car IMO.

I've got the same model, there is an appreciable difference in comfort between the two and after 13k miles I have settled on the lower pressure
