changing kph display to mph (non maxi dot)

Featured Replies

Right , theres plenty of posts about this but i dont seem to find a clear answer, i have a skoda 1.6tdi cr 2010 . The cluster is a non maxi dot . The kph display comes on after im on the move only (replaces the mileage) , ive seen a few posts where people have been successful by changing the location via vcds to australia . Or some people play around with the little button on the cluster itself , or the button on indicator stalk (which mine doesn't have) . I'm stuck can this be done ? Any how / vcds

Below is for my 13 plate Fabia, not sure what the instrument cluster buttons look like on the Octavia, but the principal will be the same I'm sure

1) Change region to Australia with Carista (or vcds),

2) press left button on dash (squares) three times until the kph flashes,

3) press right button on dash (zeros) , which changes it to miles.

When moving, this now gives speed in mph, and total mileage on the line below on the display, where the kph used to be.

Speed can be selected by scrolling through options on rhs wiper stalk.

To display kph again repeat steps 2 and 3, no need to change region again.
