I just had an idea for these. Spray a 2x cans of Flexseal on the back?

That would add about 800g to the liner and should act like byutl ?

I just started on mine here. I will be doing the wheel arches next. Definitely the boot floor was a big win. Something you can do without any spanners ;) Wheel arches next week.

Excellent. Keep us posted. Interesting you saw gains from the under hood insulation. I had discounted doing this but will now reconsider.

I thought about that too, but the rear liners are a breathable fabric unlike the front plastic ones.  I'd be concerned about what the wet might do if the wheel arch can't dry properly or moisture gets trapped in the arch.

My concern may be baseless though!

Forget insulation just wear Airpods with no music on

Cuts all the rattles & road noise completely while still being able to hear the radio & a clearer voice call

You could also buy custom tips that are moulded to your ears for added comfort

Hearing the radio or an incoming voicecall are right at the bottom of my list of audio preferences when driving.

At the top would be to hear the sirens of emergency vehicles, the noise of a skidding vehicle outside of my field of vision, drivers of other vehicles using their horns correctly to warn me of their presence, any abnormal mechanical noises from my vehicle, warning tones from the dashboard etc etc.

Silicone earbuds with no sound only lower frequencies it doesn’t totally block all sound, everything important is still quite easily recognisable abnormal engine / other traffic sounds yet the minuscule rattles /road noise are lowered considerably

Try it you’ll be surprised how much less fatigue you experience after a long drive
