My Dad has just bought an '04 Octy, PD105. Had a quick nose in the engine bay but couldn't see an intercooler; where's it hiding or did they not put one on this model?

First impressions, it's considerably quicker than I thought it was going to be for a larger car. 105BHP? Feels more like 120BHP, at least.

The reason for the IC question... remaps REVO website shows that this model will allegedly remap to 145BHP. If there's no intercooler, I will probably advise him against it.

Also, i'm guessing this has the 8v head (5spd box)?

My 105 put out 122bhp on the rollers with 1000km on the clock.

The IC is part of the rad now and fills the front of the car. A lot more efficient then my Mk4 GTI 1.8T setup.

Yeap it sits in front of the radiator - if you look closely there's a "triple decker" sandwich : radiator, air con element & IC.
