Hi, I did,  thank you. It seems like it's a "favourite" problem. I had a similar problem with my Citroen Dispatch wiring fracturing at "flexi" points too. It appears that the Euro build cars use brittle UL plastic sheathing on their wires. This stuff is not as flexible as PVC insulation and therefore snaps the inner copper. 

I found it as a result of one of the guys here showing pics of his wiring with the same fault.  Great forum.
